Can ALL Colonies make an extra effort to ensure that they are represented. This is gong to be quite an important meeting and I would like all Colonies to have a voice.

The Beaver District Junk Modelling Competition on an aviation theme, to mark the centenary of Flight in Bristol, was held on Sat 6th March. The results are below. Thanks to those Colonies who supported this event and thank you to 1st Little Stoke for hosting us.

The Bristol Evening Post turned up to take a photo of the winners, so keep your eyes peeled for the 151st Bristol Beavers and their rocket in the BEP early this week.

The In Touch System of communication for Nights Away events and activities is now being used in the Brunel Scout District

Whenever any activity or event is run within Scouting it is a requirement that an In Touch system of communication is in place (POR 9.3). This is to ensure; everyone involved is aware of how communication will take place between Leaders, Adults, Young People at the event and those not on the event. There needs to be details of who is present on the event should anything go wrong and how comunication will be managed in the event of an emergency.

The procedures put in place to ensure this are likely to vary for different types of events due to the differing circumstances and needs.

Below is a fact sheet and presentation to support Leadership teams with setting up their In Touch Systems.
