Hi all,
At the recent GSLs meeting one thing which was brought up was that it would be helpful to have some guidelines outlining when activity notifications ARE and ARE NOT required.
These details are below. I have issued this in a memo to all GSLs and ADCs today which they will send round in due course.
This should clearly define when an activity notification form is required to be completed and is effective immediately.
I think the guidleines are clear, but if in doubt about a specific scenario or activity, submitting the online activity notification form is the safest option - as this ensures you have covered yourself for the activity, followed all possible procedures and also that your insurance will be valid.
I hope this helps clarify the situation.

Dear all,
I am delighted to announce that I have appointed a further two Deputy County Commissioners (DCCs). Their new roles are crucial to achieving our vision for significantly growing outstanding Scouting. They join Steve Smith who is the DCC for Operations, already working very closely alongside me. Please join me in warmly welcoming them to their new roles and in being supportive as they get to grips with them.
