After meeting outside we all entered and queued for our boots, all trying to remember what size shoes we took. Once we had the correct size there was no stopping us, onto the ice we went.
Those first few steps were the worst, some of us managed to get a little way, others of us ended up in a heap almost straight away. The ice was very cold, quite wet and very hard, and oh how it stings when you go down!!

After a little while we all got quite good at the skating, even the leaders, well those who went on the ice!! There were also some scouts who spent most of there time sitting on the side or in the café area (the chickens).

After sometime they turned on the disco lights, not every easy dancing on ice, but it would help if we could dance off the ice! All too soon our 2 hours was up, almost all of us had fallen over, we had wet trousers, cold hands and some of us even had blisters! But we had all had a really GREAT time and would love to do it again.
